Economic Development Professional & Former State Representative (2013-2023)
Today I’m the executive director of the Lee County Industrial Development Association (LCIDA) where I work with city, county, and business leaders to promote industrial and economic development in Lee County, Illinois, located along I-88 and I-39 an hour west of the Chicago metropolitan area.
I'm also a member of the Board of Trustees at Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon, where I support local higher education and workforce development efforts.
I served as State Representative for Lee, Ogle, DeKalb, and LaSalle Counties in north-central Illinois, from 2013 to 2023. I was Deputy Minority Leader, chief budget negotiator, and healthcare policy lead for our caucus, and served on the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules and the Legislative Budget Oversight Commission.
I was the Republican nominee for Illinois State Treasurer in the 2022 election. Traveling across the state, I advocated fiscal responsibility, checks and balances, and opposed a tax on retirement income.
Over 13 years at KSB Hospital, a not-for-profit independent community hospital with locations in Lee and Ogle Counties, I most recently served on the senior leadership team as Director of Innovation & Strategy, with prior roles overseeing marketing, communications, and government relations.
I have been a member of the Board of Directors of the Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home, the Dixon Chamber of Commerce, the Dixon Rotary Club, the Dixon Knights of Columbus, a volunteer teacher for Junior Achievement, and a volunteer coach with the Dixon Family YMCA.
